Wrexham News: Deployment of armed officers in Gresford

Police are continuing their enquiries after a man was seen allegedly carrying a firearm in Gresford, Wrexham.

A motorist and passenger reported that a man pointed what looked like a handgun at their vehicle as it travelled through Gresford near the Beeches hotel before he boarded a number one bus towards Chester at around 5.02pm yesterday, Sunday March 31.

Armed officers stopped and searched the bus before it left North Wales and searched several other buses on the route, but no suspect was found or firearm located.
